Weird article, but kinda interesting.

There are 130,000 plants for example for which bees are essential to pollination, from melons to pumpkins, raspberries and all kind of fruit trees - as well as animal fodder - like clover. Bees are more important than poultry in terms of human nutrition. Bees from one hive can visit a million flowers within a 400 square kilometre area in just one day.

I believe I read a couple weeks ago that they've solved the mystery. It's a natural thing, (parasite, or bacteria), that occurs every few decades. Same thing happened in the 1800's.

Jeez- can you imagine the consequence of placing bees on the endangered species list? Having to protect THEIR natural habitats?

cellphone signals are to blame according to what I have read. personally I am glad, bees suck.

Bees make honey ... and honey is good stuff and much healthier for you than processed sugar.

So what if they sting ? For most people it's a once every few years minor problem. (It does suck if you are allergic to bee-stings, though).

They do suck though. They suck pollen out of flowers to fertilize other flowers.

and the idea of a bee getting down into some lovely flower to find that pollen covered stamen and rub all over it...
