United Arab Emirates: Scientists have finally repli***ed their creation of a cama, a camel-llama hybrid, more than a decade after their first success. Rama, was born in 1995 and remained the only one until recently when three more were born.
Camas have partially cloven feet, a coat like a llama and no hump. They are strong and easier than camels to handle. According to the scientists the hybrid only works with the llama as the mother.
"The main aim was to see if we could get the best from both species. We thought the long coat of the llama and the strength of the camel would make for a very useful animal," said Dr Lulu Skidmore from the Dubai Camel Reproduction Centre.

In Dubai, they have the money (from our oil) to play around like this. From a genetic standpoint it is interesting though.
