One wishes to be able to select a particular image. There is a tool on the Mac - and one used to have one for one's XP machine. One recently acquired a new XP laptop and has forgotten the name of the old utility.
One desires to select particular images - not the entire desktop.

One doesn't want to do that. One just wants to select the area to be grabbed and then save it.
Honestly, this is a fairly simple thing - one just can't remember the name of the utility.
