Temperature Monitors Report Widescale Global Cooling

Scientists quoted in a past DailyTech article link the cooling to reduced solar activity which they claim is a much larger driver of climate change than man-made greenhouse gases. The dramatic cooling seen in just 12 months time seems to bear that out. While the data doesn't itself disprove that carbon dioxide is acting to warm the planet, it does demonstrate clearly that more powerful factors are now cooling it.

It's only cold to balance the areas that are getting hotter! The ice caps are melting- more water- cycles up to precipitation- that cools stuff- yeah- that's the ticket

The other evening I heard ascientist on the rqadio who said that NOAA studies show that the ice caps are growing and there is more ice than ever.

Antarctic ice has been growing for years, Arctic ice is between 10 and 20 centimeters thicker than it was last year. The great Arctic ice melt was caused by changes in wind patterns....which is something that happens every now and then.

The cooling off thing is interesting....I can't wait to see how the Goreacle spins it. (Assuming he does'nt just choose to ignore it, which he's done so far...)
