MRSA "The New AIDS"

Sexually active gay men in San Francisco are 13 times more likely to be infected than their heterosexual neighbors, the researchers reported in the Annals of Internal Medicine.

Finding it's way into the general population the same way HIV did...through the non-existent, unprotected gay sex lifestyle!

If HIV, and now MRSA are equal opportunity pathogens, why did AIDS, and now MRSA find it's way into society through the same target group? It's not fair, (or accurate), claim many, to refer to AIDS as a gay disease, (even though the vast majority of sufferers are gay men). Will the same be true of MRSA?

There's a significant differences between AIDs and MRSA - the latter can be spread through casual contact. All the more reason to stay healthy and avoid hospitals.

True enough...which also makes it that much more dangerous....but it still manages to infect 13 times more gay men, than straights.
