The centerpiece of Clinton's plan is the so-called "individual mandate," requiring everyone to have health insurance — just as most states require drivers to purchase auto insurance. Rival John Edwards has also offered a plan that includes an individual mandate, while the proposal outlined by Barack Obama does not.
In a socialist America. ************************************************** ***** The key word here is require. I don't see the word FREE or Free at the point of service anywhere. It's another Helmet law, seatbelt law, auto insurance law. This isn't health care reform, it's just another law heaped on the people so that the government can punish us for non compliance. You watch, if this thing goes into law the state will seize children whose parents don't provide insurance for their children. Then we'll have a 21 century version of Hitler's youth army. It's all about the people being controled by the state. It sure as hell isn't an "American Health Choices Plan" Discuss? Last edited by L-car114; 09-17-2007 at 02:18 PM. |

I wonder how many lose their jobs and need to find their own gov't subsidized health insurance as a result of this plan.

Works for me. The older I'm getting the more I'm inclining to totalitarianism, anyway. A benign fascism like they've got in Singapore sounds better and better every day. Though Commando Supremo Clinton just doesn't have the same ring as Commando Supremo Mussolini. Plus I don't think she could work a crowd as well...

Given the insane cost of health insurance, the plan to force people to carry it would pretty much wipe out the what's left of the middle class and drive them into the lower class.
Forcing people to have health insurance is a bad idea and hopefully won't happen until long after the current healthcare system is completely re-built from the ground up. |

Clinton's health care=big pay day for HMOs & Insurance companies
So we will have to buy health insurance from the comapnies that have been giving money to Hillary? We need single payer NATIONAL HEALTH INSURNACE. We do not need to prop up the very companies that have been screwing us with "pre - existing conditions" and for profit health care. |
