If you can't see that he's not even sworn in yet but world appreciation for the U.S. has rocketed with it's subsequent goodwill and chance to come to terms & agreements & peace; as well as the opportunity for coming-together of racial 'sides' due to a blending of black & white that hopefully will make all the shades in between feel included in not just the populace but the governing; as well as that Obama intends to be about 'us' not 'him'....

Give him a chance. You don't have a choice now so you might as well recalibrate your own personal right-wrong sensors to judge his actions from here on in so you get an accurate reading rather than having them skewed by your wishes.

I come here to hear honest uncensored opinions about things that interest me (can't get them just anywhere you know). I make allowances for bias, but I do expect that you all are speaking about the situation as it is [/b]rather than as you wish it were, cause much as I disgree with some of you sometimes (often usually) you're all thoughful people with a point or viewpoint you believe in enough and are willing to defend and spout against any criticism, attack, ridicule or even being ignored.

I've read what you've said since Obama got in. I know there's a lot of sincere concern for what a lot of 'lets make a change' people weren't even aware of or haven't even considered. Most people aren't very informed. People here seem to be.

But Obama is IN. I hope I can keep coming here and actually read 'takes on the situations as they arise- whatever they are - rather than impotent diatribes about a done deal. Too much waste of intelligence.

Dang, I believe you guys in the US have some hope for it being about you individuals now, not the President as an individual, and it being about you once again being someone to look up to rather than fear. I was one of those who watched CNN all day and cried joy when Obama won.
I only wish I could have voted. It's going to be about the people & your country, and what's best for it world-wide. Bush was bad news for you iin the world and in Louisiana and in between.

Like you said, he hasnt even served a day, yet youre so sure he is going to do great things. I dont. Obama is a rich man. Rich men look after their own, no matter what. Every President has done that. Yes, even Clinton. Both Bushes did it. Reagan. In fact, I cant think of a poor President weve had other than Andrew Jackson.

Obama says he will do one thing, but in reality, by expanding government programs and increasing taxes, he is making sure there is plenty of money to pass out to the people HE wants to have it. Who do you think gets Government contracts? Friends of those in power. Because, if you really think it costs them 10,000 bucks for a toilet seat, I will sell them one for 5G and I will install it for them!

I bet Obama has friends in the Teacher's Union and that they are going to get Major kickbacks. Rich people at the top make out like bandits while kids suffer. I bet Obama's kids go to private school, yet he wont support school vouchers to seen poor minority kids to the private school where the rich white kids get to go.

Democrats have poor people vote for them. Republicans have rich people vote for them. It would make since that in order to get more votes, Democrats would try to keep people stupid and poor and Republicans would try to make more rich people. Me, I dont see why people are hurting so fucking bad. I dont even make 30G a year, and Im still living better than most. The wife just started working, so together we make less than 60G a year, but even thats not alot considering student loans, child support for 2 kids, saving to build, and fighting in a custody dispute. Still, Im not suffering like the idiots that do payday loans and store credit cards.

I think you will never see in your lifetime a poor president Dick Tator. I don't believe you'll see one that doesn't piss you off at times either.
But I don't believe your choices included anyone else of this caliber. He's always turned down higher paying jobs for ones where he had a chance to help people. He's not feeling like he's already won the prize becoming president either. His mindset is not about becoming something, it's about achieving the next goal - President is just the last hurdle to being able to implement his goals for the country and all people. Families just trying to work & edu***e healthy kids & come home at night to their own home.
I don't believe he'll be able to do all he wants to. He's walked into a major mess. But I believe his intentions are right. And I believe he's less likely to get wrapped up in beaureacratic red tape bindings than anyone else.

That part right there just earned you some green - rep, that is. That's about all the green I can afford to hand out these days.
