Exactly how do you view abortion? And is there any possibility at all that there is any other alternative to rid one's self of an unwanted child?
i see it as a final straw for people who dont want to have the baby thats going to happen. i believe in teh judgement of science that 24 weeks is the limit. (or if i am belgian, 12 weeks). science works in your advantage though, because its now in extreme cases sometimes possible to keep a fetus thats 24 weeks, alive outside teh mother, it might soon be going down.

Well, unfortunately it is not a final straw ... it's the option of first choice for way too many woman. And then among those women are the ones, even though they may be a small number of women, who have repeated abortions. Why not just ask for a tubal ligation? That will take care of the situation.

I think there is not enough knowledge of the effects of abortion on the woman having one. Many think that if they can just sneak in and have it taken care of- they'll be just dandy. This is why it is the first choice for so many YOUNG females.

Even "Jane Roe" regretted her decision Norma McCorvey - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Even "Jane Roe" regretted her decision Norma McCorvey - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
To be clear, Norma never even had the abortion in the case where she became the poster woman for legalized abortion. Her child was put up for adoption.

Later, Norma would confess that her claim of being gang raped was all a fabri***ion in order to garner sympathy in the media and in hopes to sway public opinion. Bernard Nathanson, a former abortionist and co-founder of NARAL, would also confess to fabri***ing the numbers of women who had illegal abortions and who died from illegal abortions.

Roe v. Wade was based on lies.

I don't know how much emphasis I would put on YOUNG women ... generally speaking women of childbearing age are young. The definition of "young" has somewhat changed with the generations ... 35 to 40 or so being the ideal age for women who decide maybe they should have children.

Maybe there aren't enough studies on the impact of abortion on the women involved because there's generally no interest - the object is to get rid of the baby.

The vast majority of women that have abortions are under the age of 25. That's young.

abortion facts - united states

Why wouldn't there be interest? If the idea is "no muss no fuss" then perhaps a bit more of the muss needs to be uncovered. Physical and Psychological effects should be constantly researched as society changes.

In fact fuck it I'll go over the same ground again.

We can argue all we like about whether 40 mill abortions is murder or not.

Killing grown innocent humans is murder, this can easily be agreed upon by both sides.

So why don't we chat about why killing 40mill human beings is ok for you Viking (provided they are in the right country), but 40 millions foetuses is not ok?

allso, doesnt the US have morning-after pills? here young people are mostly aware it exists, and how to obtain it, if a mistake was made. you guys cant really object to that, since it breaks off the conception before it actualy takes place.

I do not have a problem with morning-after pills. They are the same as contraception IMHO

I think the morning-after pill is extremely helpful in rape situations and for failed contraception among responsible adults.
