Labor unions and our crippling tax code. Ban unions and enact the Fair Tax!

Add one more. Litigation and the threat of litigation.

I agree that the unions should just fold up and go away. They've outlived their usefulness in terms of job security, pay, etc. We have federal laws now to protect workers. About the only thing unions do these days is take a chunk of money from members' paychecks and use it to support the upper echelon of officers in fine style.
Don't forget about labor unions cozyness and financial support of the Democratic party. Financial support that comes from their members and is not spent in accordance with the individual members wishes.

Yeah, that too. I just find unions unnecessary. I never belonged to one - not even when I worked for the telephone company. The CWA was pretty rough in it's "communications" when recruiting new members. Of course, in my "just-out-of-high-school-and-tired-of-abuse" state of mind when the union rep tried to use force to make me join - I started raising hell, screaming, etc. and the guys left my house. I wonder if my mother was a part of that grand scheme - she was a CWA member.

Another thing we could do without is the NLRB - or at the very least it's mission should be redefined. It's a totally pro-union department of government and most of it's lawyers are pretty much morons when faced with dealing with corporate (defense) counsel regarding union matters.

Unions today are for people who can't get , can't keep a job and can't promote themselves on their own merits.

I think that there needs to be more protection from frivolous lawsuits, however, I dont think we should ban lawsuits altogether or something. We all have the right to life, liberty, and property, so long as it doesnt affect anothers life, liberty, and property. We should have a way in order to seek recourse and compansation should someone violate our right to those three things.

I work for a union (UAW) and today I was tolled that if i don't stop working so hard they would pull my union card. I work hard because that is what we should do as proud Americans. America is what it is because of people who gave there lives to make a buck, and i will do the same. So if they want to pull my card I say, I'm always up for a good challenge.

Aint that the truth. Those are the same people who complain the most about how bad the benefits and compensation are buy yet they always contribute the least to the task at hand. They also disapear during working hours and are almost always the first to go on breaks. I can really see how unions are good for everybody, Yeah right! One of the things I have noticed is that us working folk have to pick up their slack which totally contradicts the thing that these clowns advocate the most, "equal work for equal pay." In my opinion that means you have to actually work, not standing around all day shooting the breeze collecting a pay check. If you ask me those extremely lazy people should be fired!
