Well ... I think it's official now that we no longer have to worry about keeping ourselves on a strict diet. We can thank your fellow Texan Jessica Simpson for having the gall to gain a couple pounds and sending everyone into a tailspin!!

They are making it illegal to serve food to fat people in restraunts in a city close to where I live. This includes fast food, but Im unsure how they would deal with drive-thrus and delivery. And what about grocery store delis?

It won't work. The truly obese often have enablers who bring them food.

If you are ever wavering on sticking to a diet, watch TLC's "I Eat 33,000 Calories A Day". Tis a true Horror Flick.

TLC :: TV Listings :: I Eat 33,000 Calories a Day

How the hell can someone eat 33,000 calories a day??! I will have to check that shit out!

Oh, God ... I hate behaving like an attorney. I'm sure there will be a host of civil rights attorneys out there who will challenge this action as being discriminatory against a class of people ... if the lawyer's are smart they will find a way to have this act classified as a hate crime.

I think people have a right to eat what they want, but at the same time, the Government has a vested intrest on the health and weight of the population. Granted most Civil Libertarians would disagree with me (I know F&L will chew me out for saying it) but Congress has the right to raise and maintain a military. I dont think they would want to draft a shitload of fat asses, do you? In a national emergancy which would require the draft, it would benifit everyone if they were already in shape and healthy.

But then, Im of the mind that everyone should be in the National Gaurd if nothing else...

You want government to wipe your ass for you too? Government should never be in the business of protecting people from themselves. I wouldn't worry about the military finding recruits. Even a fat guy can shoot a gun.

A fat guy cant run and is more likely to die of a heart attack. Plus if everyone is fat, less people can fit in C130s. Plus, the fox hole would have to be WAY bigger. Personally I think that everyone should have to go through basic training between their Jr and Sr years of High School. Make it a requirement for Graduation. If that was the case, all the schools around the country would be preparing America's Youth for this expected event. Thus, they would be in shape, and already know the things that every soldier should know, like first aid, map reading, general problem solving, and teamwork. Things that are sadly lacking in America's Youth today. AND if everyone has gun training, then maybe people would respect them more and the 2nd Amendment would be more respected.

At every major national disaster you can tell who is prior military. Civilians wander around dazed like sheep while Prior service always form lines to better help pass out supplies in bucket brigade fashion.

Last night I had a Very Dry Absolute Martini before ordering a Sam Adam's Octoberfest and a Medium Rare Ribeye topped with the Mushroom Lobster Sauce at The Outback.

Good Stuff, baby.
