Strange! Humans Glow in Visible Light

Five healthy male volunteers in their 20s were placed bare-chested in front of the cameras in complete darkness in light-tight rooms for 20 minutes every three hours from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. for three days.

The researchers found the body glow rose and fell over the day, with its lowest point at 10 a.m. and its peak at 4 p.m., dropping gradually after that. These findings suggest there is light emission linked to our body clocks, most likely due to how our metabolic rhythms fluctuate over the course of the day.

Faces glowed more than the rest of the body. This might be because faces are more tanned than the rest of the body, since they get more exposure to sunlight - the pigment behind skin color, melanin, has fluorescent components that could enhance the body's miniscule light production.

Since this faint light is linked with the body's metabolism, this finding suggests cameras that can spot the weak emissions could help spot medical conditions, said researcher Hitoshi Okamura, a circadian biologist at Kyoto University in Japan.

"If you can see the glimmer from the body's surface, you could see the whole body condition," said researcher Masaki Kobayashi, a biomedical photonics specialist at the Tohoku Institute of Technology in Sendai, Japan.

A couple days ago, I was watching one of the late afternoon/evening Fox News shows and I'm sorry I can't remember which one (maybe O'Reilly?). The show had a guest who, back in the 60s, had been a far left radical type of guy. The guy has somewhere along the way abandoned his radical left beliefs and become way more to the right in his convictions. Anyway he's written a book, but has also got a website up and running. I wrote down the website and this morning looked it up.

Man! As Glenn Beck would say, "It will shoot blood out through your eyes!"

If you're not already familiar with the site, please take a look. It's got the names, backgrounds, organizations ... some of it is pre-election but still a fascinating read. Man, Obama, is worse than scary!!

As some of you know, I tend to date men who I've known for quite awhile in a "friends first" situation or at minimum, have a way to vet their backgrounds through assorted friends and connections. It's not always the case but most often. For the past week+, I've been seeing a guy who moved in next door, who coincidentally is a friend of a friend, going to mutual friends' parties for years. In the past, we've always been otherwise committed, so we've never been anything but friends. We've gotten together for four dates now in a week. Quite a bit. He's a relationship-style guy, a great guy. Smart, funny and a gentleman. We're obviously not at any serious stage, definitely not exclusive, just casually dating. I was running out quickly tonight to pick up some dinner, waiting for the elevator to arrive, when I noticed someone coming out of another unit, a few doors down from mine. I recognized him as a screen actor, not leading man but not a bit part actor either. We made eye contact and started chatting. We rode down the elevator together and by the end of the ride, he asked me out. I turned him down more out of reflex than anything else so he gave me his business card, to call him anytime. Very smooth and charming. So here's my conundrum. Should I or shouldn't I call? I'm curious since he was very interesting, witty, smart and articulate and yet, the rep of most actors isn't great, not that I would expect anything serious with this man, for certain.

There exists a conspiracy theory about the Sept 11 attacks in New York. Basically it goes something like this ...The Israelis staged a false-flag operation to spur the US into military involvement in the Mid-east. The Hijackings were somehow rigged by the Mossad (possibly with the collusion or involvement of the US intelligence community; CIA is a usual suspect). As the event was intended to be 'memorable' (in a tragic way), the date was selected to be easily remembered ... and 9/11 is not only the date, but also the phone code for Emergency Services in the U.S.Assuming that such a conspiracy exists, and assuming that 9/11 was selected for the significance of being both a date and an easily remembered (and important) phone number, what other dates and or events can be thought of to fit this profile ?I thought of several. But none as disturbing as the following possiblity. Knowing that the U.S.-based white supremacy/ separatist movements revere the numbers 14 and 88, the 14th day of the 8th month of the year '08 (written 14/8/08) maybe the date this alleged conspiracy chooses to enact thier next great act. What act am I refering to ? The assassination of a Black presidential hopeful. This assassination would surely cause riots and civil unrest across the country and social order would be in danger of breaking down. And the white supremacists make a likely patsy for the deed as well. The conspiracy could use the fabricated connection to pro-white racist groups to pursue pogroms against them and, more importantly, against anyone they don't like. The Patriot Act makes it VERY easy to pursue such a program of targetted persecution. And anyone who fits thier 'profile' may find themselves subjected to persecution.I sincerely hope that I am wrong.
