One of the main technological innovations developed by mankind is the extraction of oil and gas energy resources. These two energy resources play a major role in the modern economy and are considered to be the key factors while analyzing the global financial growth.

Due to the significance in global financial market, the growth and prosperity of oil and natural gas industry is immense. The business community around the world is always curious to know about oil & gas news, and volatility of oil and gas market. In an age of where people are running after all the monetary benefits that they can grab, the demand for such industries and the investments and job openings in them are very important.

The best way to make maximum profits from energy sector is to invest in oil and gas fields. But because of the sophisticated technologies used in oil and natural gas sector, you need a high capital to invest in these ventures. Obviously the risk will be also higher, when compared to other industries. This is one of the main reasons why small and medium business firms show reluctance to invest in these sectors.

Working for the companies in oil and gas sector can also be considered as a better option as you have more chances of getting high rewards for the work that you do. This is the main reason behind the increase in demand for jobs in oil and natural gas sector.

If you are interested in oil and gas sector and has a passion to work with such fields you can look for oil and gas energy sector jobs. Nowadays there are a lot of job portals which often advertise jobs related to oil and gas sectors. People who apply for these jobs must have very high technical skills and should be highly enthusiastic. Oil and gas sector face the highest intensity of competition and hence jobs from this sector would turn out compatible only for those who are prone to sudden changes and are ready to acquire newer skills easily. Do you think you can give your luck a try? He will have a bilateral meeting with President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono of Indonesia, where Obama lived from 1967 to 1971.

As the first U.S. president with "an Asia-Pacific orientation," Obama "understands that the future of our prosperity and our security is very much tied to this part of the world," said Ben Rhodes, deputy national security adviser for strategic communications.

It won't be all diplomatic meetings, though. Obama's first trip to China will include a "town hall" style meeting in Shanghai and sightseeing in Beijing. While in Japan he'll meet the emperor and empress, according to Rhodes.

Obama's departure was delayed one day to allow his attendance at Tuesday's memorial service at Fort Hood Army Post in Texas for the 13 people killed in a mass shooting there last week. The revised itinerary cut a day from the stop in Singapore, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said earlier this week.

En route to Tokyo, Obama will take time in Anchorage, Alaska, to speak to troops at Elmendorf Air Force Base during a two-hour layover.

The president will meet with new Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama, Chinese President Hu Jintao and Premier Wen Jiabao, Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, South Korean President Lee Myung-bak, Medvedev and Yudhoyono, and also will take part in an Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit.

APEC consists of 21 Pacific Rim nations that make up more than 50 percent of the world's economic output. The forum sees its goal as "facilitating economic growth, cooperation, trade and investment in the Asia-Pacific region."

Hatoyama and Obama have said they will affirm a strengthening of the bilateral alliance. But the U.S. president will be greeted by a Japanese leadership that has pledged more independence from the United States and has said it is reviewing a bilateral deal to relocate a U.S. Marine Corps base on Okinawa. The agreement was met with fierce local opposition.

Increasing U.S. exports to a region expected to grow by more than 7 percent next year will also be an important topic, said Michael Froman, deputy national security adviser for international economic affairs.

Asia "already takes about a quarter of our exports, and those exports are expected to increase as the region grows" Froman said. The result could be an increase of "hundreds of thousands" in the current 1.6 million U.S. jobs linked to Asian exports, he said.

The officials were careful to avoid any perception that Obama's presence at the ASEAN meeting would amount to a bilateral discussion with the prime minister of Myanmar, who also will attend.

After years of refusing direct talks with Myanmar, also known as Burma, the United States has indicated a possible re-engagement with the military regime it considers repressive for cracking down on political opposition, including the National League for Democracy led by detained Nobel Peace Prize winner Aung San Suu Kyi.

"The statement we're trying to make here is that we're not going to let the Burmese tail wag the ASEAN dog," said Jeffrey Bader, the National Security Council's senior director for East Asian affairs. "We're going to meet with all 10 and we're not going to punish the other nine simply because Burma is in the room, but this is not a bilateral [meeting]."

In China, Obama will continue efforts to define and strengthen the relationship with the world's largest emerging economy, which has a growing influence in Asia, Bader said.

"We see it as a relationship where we're obviously going to have differences, where we are going to be competitors in certain respects," he said. "But we want to maximize areas where we can work together because the global challenges will simply not be met if we don't."

Bader cited North Korea's nuclear weapons program, the economy, climate change, human rights and Afghanistan as among the top issues for the China swing. On human rights, Bader said Obama is likely to address "freedom of expression, access to information, freedom of religion, rule of law, and certainly Tibet."

Obama will make clear to Hu that he intends to meet in the future with the Dalai Lama, the exiled Tibetan spiritual leader, Bader said. China, which rejects Tibetan aspirations for autonomy, opposes such high-level contacts with the Dalai Lama.

On North Korea, the State Department announced Tuesday that U.S. officials will travel to the country by the end of the year to seek a resumption of broader talks on ending the Pyongyang government's nuclear program.

The Obama administration has claimed initial progress in its strategy of forging an international effort including China, South Korea and other countries to put pressure on North Korea to abandon its nuclear weapons ambitions.

Japan has been asking for a comprehensive solution to North Korea's missile tests and the abduction of Japanese citizens in the 1970s.

North Korea and South Korea reported an encounter Tuesday involving gunfire between two of their naval ships off the Korean Peninsula. But Dr. Anne Schuchat, the director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, said the estimate gives a "more accurate picture" of the scale of the pandemic.

The figure was based on a detailed analysis of data from several dozen districts around the country, she said. The method used to calculate the mortality figures is similar to that used to produce estimates of ordinary seasonal flu deaths, which are believed to number about 36,000 a year.

An estimated 22 million people in the United States have contracted the virus, commonly known as swine flu, resulting in about 98,000 hospitalizations through October 17, Schuchat said.

Among children under 18, about 8 million are believed to have been sickened, 36,000 have been hospitalized and 540 have died, a much higher number than the 129 laboratory-confirmed child deaths the CDC reported November 6.

About 12 million adults up to age 64 had been reported ill, with 53,000 hospitalizations in that age group and 2,900 deaths. People over age 65 accounted for 2 million illnesses, 9,000 hospitalizations and 440 deaths, Schuchat said.

The prevalence of flu cases is higher than at any time since the 1918 Spanish flu pandemic, she said, but the death rate is "nowhere near the severity of the 1918 pandemic."

Schuchat said 41.6 million doses of H1N1 vaccine are now available, up from 38 million last week, but "not as much as we'd hoped to have by today." She told reporters last week that about 8 million new doses were expected this week.

The Department of Health and Human Services has ordered 75 million doses of swine flu vaccine for delivery by year's end, and the CDC had predicted that 40 million doses would be available by the end of October.

Production delays have hampered agency plans, and the lag has led to criticism of the program. A CNN/Opinion Research Corp. survey released Tuesday found Americans are starting to lose confidence in the government's ability to prevent a nationwide epidemic, though a narrow majority continue to say that the government and private industry will eventually produce enough of the vaccine to inoculate everyone who wants it.

George Tiller Shot ... and killed

George Tiller, an abortion doctor in Kansas for some 20 years, was shot and killed today at his church:

http://www.comcast.net/articles/news-general/20090531/US.Tiller.Shooting/

In another site on the web, that was dated back in 2004 (and now apparently off-line), Tiller stated that he had aborted some 60,000 babies over some 20 years of practice. That's a lot of babies. He was apparently considered to be pretty much a butcher.

I first heard about this guy when Kathleen Sibelius was being considered for Secretary of Health and Human Services, a position which she now has now been approved. They were very close buddies, him giving goodly sums of money for her political career and she doing every thing she possibly could to push the practice of wide open, no holds barred, abortion while she was governor of Kansas. Another point of interest is that Tiller was also enamored of the practice of eugenics.

The Media

.

the media is ruled by satan but yet i wonder if many christians fully understand that.
Female Hero

.....

http://news.yahoo.com/s/time/08599193644400
Sgt. As a native Oregonian and lifelong Ducks fan it is my sad responsibility to say that #9's action was inexcusable, and despicable, and he deserves the harsh punishment he has received. Regardless of Hout's unsportsmanlike conduct (and it was just that) the ethics of athletic competition, and of civil society as a whole, do not condone throwing a punch because someone mouthed off at you.

Football is a game of controlled violence, it is a rough contact sport. Players are allowed to hit each other, but within the confines of the rules of the game and the rules of human decency. That means between the snap of the ball and the whistle, and a few others. Like not to the head. Or with your fist. No crackback blocks, that sort of thing.

You may hear various sportswriters and old-timers try to defend Blount's actions (the old "boys will be boys" and whatnot) but we all know this is bullshit. When you get your *** kicked fair and square and someone mouths off at you, the better man walks away. LaGarrette Blount showed that moment he wasn't the better man, and by proxy he damages Oregon's reputation as a whole. A proposal to limit lawmaker pay passed.
To add clarity to this line, they WEREN'T budget balancing measures. They were an extension of economy cripling tax increases and borrowing that do nothing to balance the budget in the only way possible...cutting spending.

California sent a message that followed the tea parties..."get your shit together, we're tired of more taxes"
“I respect the will of the people who are frustrated with the dysfunction in our budget system,” Schwarzenegger said in a statement from Washington conceding defeat. “In order to prevent a fiscal disaster, Democrats and Republicans must collaborate and work together to address this shortfall.”
Nice words Arny but you can't work with the demotards that control this state. You must take a stand and bring this state to it's knees before there is any significant reform
Proposition 1A, which was failing 36 percent to 64 percent, would have limited state spending to inflation plus 3 percent above a 10-year average. The measure also would have extended three temporary tax raises approved in February.

Proposition 1B would have required the state to pay $1.5 billion from the rainy day fund to schools for six years starting in 2011. It was failing 39 percent to 61 percent.

Proposition 1C, which would have allowed the state to sell $5 billion of bonds backed by future lottery proceeds and use the money for the budget, was losing 37 percent to 63 percent.

Proposition 1D would have allowed the state to strip $600 million over five years from a program that spends tobacco tax revenue on children’s health. It was failing by a 36 percent to 64 percent margin.

Proposition 1E would have allowed lawmakers to siphon $250 million a year from a mental health services program financed by an income-tax increase approved by voters in 2004. It was losing 35 percent to 65 percent.
Does anyone see a reduction of spending here?
Proposition 1F, which prohibits state lawmakers and elected officers from salary raises in years when the state is running a deficit, was winning 75 percent to 25 percent. I think it's a stupid bullshit subject, I think they are looking at it from the wrong way...

They had this kid on there being interviewed about why he was being bullied and he said that he thought they did it because he didn't defend himself. When asked why he didn't defend himself he said he didn't know how to. I think THAT is the key point here. All I see is a bunch of single moms... There is no father to teach the boys how to be a man. Yes, there is a few men there... two that I have seen so far; fathers who seem like they have been completely demasculated. Neither of them would know how to teach a boy to be a man.

Of course Oprah isn't pointing out that there are no men in most of these bullied kids lives...
